Moving to another country for work is a big step. We believe it is important to be clear from the beginning about how the process works.
Applying for a job
You can apply for one of our vacancies online. After receiving your application, we will contact you by phone or email.
If there is a suitable opportunity, we will send you a job offer with the hourly rate and the available work options. Many people start as flexible workers. This means you may be offered work at different clients, depending on where people are needed.
You will know your hourly rate before you arrive. However, the exact workplace may sometimes change.
Before you travel
Once both sides agree, we will send you the address where you should arrive. Sometimes this is directly at the accommodation. In other cases, you first come to our office.
Please make sure to bring all your documents with you: a valid passport or ID card, your BSN number, your bank account details and, if you have one, your driving licence.
After You Arrive
Once you arrive, we will check your documents and complete the necessary administration.
After this, you will receive an email with activation links for two portals.
The first portal is for planning. Here, you can check your work schedule and see where and when you are expected to work.
The second portal is for administration. You will receive your employment contract there to sign electronically. Your weekly payslips will also be available through this portal.
Please activate both accounts as soon as you receive the email.
Starting work
We always try to arrange your first working day for the day after you arrive. This depends on the client and the available planning, but we do our best to avoid unnecessary waiting.
For travel to work, we provide a bicycle or e-bike when the distance is up to 10 kilometres. Cycling is a normal way of getting to work in the Netherlands, so please be prepared to use a bike when the workplace is nearby.
If the distance is greater, transport is arranged by company car.
Your first salary
Your worked hours are registered weekly by the workplace. Your salary is paid weekly after the hours have been processed.
Your first salary is paid after two weeks. We therefore advise you to bring enough money for your personal expenses during your first days in the Netherlands. Around €70 should be enough if you live carefully.
Company cars
Company cars are intended for work-related transport. They are not available for private trips, such as going to the supermarket.
